Martek– Awarded Croydon Business Of The Year 2012
With a population of 400,000 people, over 9,000 businesses including such household names as Nestle, Bank of America and The UK Border Agency, Croydon is the 9th largest local authority area in the UK.
So how pleased were we to be awarded Croydon Business of the Year at the recent Croydon Champions award ceremony held at the Croydon Hilton Hotel on Thursday 11th November?
“A magnificent result for a great local business” said Gavin Barwell – Member of Parliament for Croydon Central which includes New Addington. “Very well deserved, it is great to see a local manufacturing company recognised not only for their contribution to local employment in my constituency but also their significant effect upon the wider UK economy”.
The award was collected by Kirsty and David who had been invited along to the ceremony as nominees.
“Wow, what a result, we were over the moon at being shortlisted for such a prestigious award, but never in a million years did we expect to win against so many big household names. Its a real result for Martek and testament to all of the hard work put in by our staff” said Kirsty in her interview with the Croydon Guardian, one of the many sponsors of the the 2012 Croydon Champions event.
